Here, we used miR-146a knockout (KO) mice to test miR-146a function in MSU-induced gouty arthritis and our data suggest that miR-146a provides feedback regulation of gout arthritis development and lack of miR-146a enhances gouty arthritis through upregulating TRAK6/IRAK1 and NALP3 inflammasome function (Fig. 4d). The gene discussed is NLRP3; the disease is gout.
