EGFR and non-small cell lung carcinoma: The first assays to gain regulatory approval for testing in this setting were the therascreen® EGFR RGQ PCR kit and cobas®EGFR Mutation Test v2 assays which use real-time PCR for the qualitative detection of EGFR exon 19 deletions, L858R, T790M and other mutations in EGFR.
