Hence, our data indicate that within the GRK5-NT sequence, there are two regions with the potentiality to regulate cardiac hypertrophy in two different ways: by inhibiting NFκB through the binding of the RH domain to IκBα [19] and by inhibiting NFAT through the binding and sequestration of calmodulin in the amino-terminal domain. The gene discussed is NFKBIA; the disease is cardiac hypertrophy.
