VEGFA and cancer: We have shown that vialinin A prevents VEGF-induced human vascular endothelial cell (HUVEC) proliferation, migration, tube formation, and secretion of angiogenic cytokines by HUVECs by preventing the activation of NF-κB. Thus, our results identify a novel therapeutic role of vialinin A in the prevention of neovascularization and suggest that this natural antioxidant could be developed as an antiangiogenic agent in cancer therapy.
