In the BRD4-NUT fusion gene, the translocation breakpoints of BRD4 is within intron 1050, and the binding sequence of miR-3140 exists within exon 9 of BRD4. Thus, miR-3140 can directly target the BRD4-NUT fusion gene and consequently, miR-3140 suppressed in vitro tumor cell growth of Ty-82 cells as well as JQ1. Here, BRD4 is linked to neoplasm.
