As summarized in Fig. 6f, we showed that miR-3140 inhibited tumor cell growth in various cancer cells both in vitro and in vivo at least in part by directly targeting BRD4, BRD3, CDK2, and EGFR. Furthermore, we revealed that miR-3140 suppressed the BRD4-NUT oncoprotein in NMC cells and that miR-3140 inhibited in vitro tumor cell growth in NMC cells. This evidence concerns the gene NUTM1 and nut midline carcinoma.
