Infection of rdr1-1, rdr6-15, and ago2-1 single-mutant plants by suppressor-deficient TuMV-AS9-GFP is restricted to cauline leaves [2,3], while inflorescence remains uninfected due to the redundant antiviral activity of RDR1 and RDR6 [3], and AGO1 and AGO10 [2]. This evidence concerns the gene AGO1 and infection.
