The 94 protein-coding CHi-C target genes are highly enriched for these cancer genes (14 observed, Hypergeometric P = 2.02 × 10−6) and include well-documented cancer genes (CCND1, CDKN2A, CDKN2B, MYC, MAP3K1, ESR1 and FGFR2), as well as relatively uncharacterised examples (TET2, KLF4, MLLT10, FADD, TBX3, PAX9 and ZFP36L1). Here, ZFP36L1 is linked to cancer.
