IL2 and Allergy: In 2016, Benjamin Bonnet et al.76 discovered that low-dose IL-2 (ld-IL-2)-induced Treg expansion and activation that elicited protection against clinical manifestations of food allergy in two mouse models with OVA and peanut by evaluating the ability of ld-IL-2 to control allergy in an experimental model of food allergy, and the preventive and therapeutic effects were long-term effective over a 7-month period.
