A humanized IgG4-monoclonal anti-TLR2 antibody (OPN-305) is effective in a porcine model of cardiac ischemia–reperfusion injury (206) and has been shown to be well tolerated and effective in reducing IL-6 production from peripheral whole blood in a phase 1, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial (207). This evidence concerns the gene TLR2 and myocardial ischemia.
