Primary MN is related to the autoimmune disorders caused by the presence of circulating antibodies against native podocyte antigens NEP [1], PLA2R1 [4], and THSD7A [5] or by antibodies developed against external antigens such as cationic bovine serum albumin (BSA) [2] or aryl sulfatase [3]. Here, PLA2R1 is linked to autoimmune disease.
