Similar to the observation in hepatocellular carcinoma [28], we found that miR-190 induced the expression of E-cadherin and reduced the expression of vimentin and N-cadherin in breast cancer cells, whereas inhibition of endogenous miR-190 by its inhibitors yielded the opposite effects, suggesting that miR-190 is an EMT suppressor in breast cancer. This evidence concerns the gene VIM and hepatocellular carcinoma.
