Table 4 shows that after adjusting for the effect of CD4, HIV illness duration, and education level, the odds of undetected MDD among females were three-fold higher compared to males (OR = 3.33; 95% CI 1.32–8.45) and these odds increased by 4% for unit increase in patients age (OR = 1.04; 1.00–1.08). The gene discussed is CD4; the disease is major depressive disorder.
