As shown in Fig. 3c, overexpression of CASZ1 in HCCLM3 cells obviously increased the proportion of cells in G1 phase and decreased the proportion of cells in S phase, whereas knockdown of CASZ1 in PLC/PRF/5 cells resulted in the opposite trend, suggesting that CASZ1 may inhibit HCC cell proliferation by inducing cell cycle arrest at G1/S checkpoint. Here, CASZ1 is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
