Interestingly, inhibition of p300 significantly reduced HW/TL ratio, and wall thickness, while increasing ejection fraction in SIRT2-deficient mice (Figure 5I–K), indicating that p300 inhibition rescues cardiac hypertrophy and contractile dysfunction resulting from SIRT2 deficiency, which could be due to the restoration of GSK3 activity.
