RIG-I is a pattern recognition receptor that senses virus-derived RNA and self mRNA fragments, and IRE1α–RIDD exerts a variety of immune responses activated by binding to Mitochondrial antiviral-signaling protein (MAVS).14 To evaluate whether RIG-I signaling is activated by RIDD in OVA/LPS-induced asthma, we analyzed the expression levels of RIG-I using quantitative real-time PCR and immunoblotting. The gene discussed is RIGI; the disease is asthma.
