Stereotypical patterns have been also found in other tauopathies such as chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), a tauopathy that occurs as a consequence of repetitive mild traumatic brain injury, where tau lesions can originate closer to perivascular spaces within the depths of cortical sulci [105] and become subsequently detectable in larger regions of the neocortex and allocortex, diencephalon, basal ganglia, brainstem and spinal cord [106].
