Interestingly, in the prostate patient, whose core alterations included mostly subchromosomal losses, a pattern reminiscent of Homology Recombination Deficiency (HRD), a copy-number loss was detected in BRCA2 locus (on Chr 13) which, on a diploid genome, implies loss of heterozygosity. Here, BRCA2 is linked to hypoparathyroidism-retardation-dysmorphism syndrome.
