At late stages of infection (24 hpi), we observed a stronger increase of global Mdm2 staining, yet with partial relocalization of Mdm2 in the cytoplasm of several infected cells (Fig. 2, panels q and u), as well as a relative exclusion between cytoplasmic Mdm2 and nuclear NS1 respective stainings (Fig. 2, panels t and x). The gene discussed is MDM2; the disease is infection.
