Based on the published observation that overexpression of Tpl2 drives chemoresistance in melanoma (Johannessen et al., 2010), and the observed abundance of Tpl2‐derived phosphopeptides in our Bcr‐Abl1‐independent model of IM resistance, we evaluated transcript levels of MAP3K8 in CML CD34+ cells subjected to a 7‐day exposure to 5 μm IM (Corbin et al., 2011; Holtz et al., 2005; Jiang et al., 2010). This evidence concerns the gene MAP3K8 and chronic myelogenous leukemia, BCR-ABL1 positive.
