If the B cell antigen receptor (BCR) plays a role in MCL lymphomagenesis and disease progression [2], most MCL harbor the t(11;14) (q13;q32) translocation resulting in overexpression of Cyclin D1 (CCND1) mRNA and transcription of the Cyclin D1 nuclear protein. The gene discussed is CCND1; the disease is mantle cell lymphoma.
