The glycolytic process (extracellular acidification rate, ECAR) significantly decreased in TCF7L2-silenced PANC-1 and MIA PaCa-2 cells, which implied that TCF7L2 has a positive effect on the glycolysis rate in pancreatic cancer cells (Fig. 3a, b). The gene discussed is TCF7L2; the disease is familial pancreatic carcinoma.
