More detailed analysis revealed that patients with positive UCHL5 expression exhibited better survival than those with negative expression in the subgroups of patients with stages I-II of the disease (p = 0.025, Fig 2B), those with small (<5 cm) tumor size (p = 0.001, Fig 2C), and in patients age 66 or older (p = 0.037, Fig 2D).
