Nintedanib is a multiple inhibitor of tyrosine kinase receptors implicated in lung fibrosis pathogenesis, including PDGF receptors α and β, VEGF receptors 1, 2 and 3, and FGF receptors 1, 2 and 3 [91], which was shown to prevent the development of lung fibrosis in the bleomycin murine model [92]. This evidence concerns the gene NTRK1 and pulmonary fibrosis.
