Although these findings should be further validated in more complex experimental settings (e.g. animal models, clinical studies) and extrapolations from in vitro studies to an in vivo situation should always be done cautiously, these results suggest a role of NCoR2 in the malignant phenotype of HNSCC and point out a potential role of this protein as a biomarker.
