Such polyfunctional T cells have been identified also for tularemia, e.g., during human recall responses after LVS vaccination, secretion of IL-12, IFN-γ, MCP-1, MIP-1β, IL-17, and IL-22 have been identified, which served as immuno-specific signatures and discriminated between immune and naïve individuals (Paranavitana et al., 2010; Eneslätt et al., 2012). The gene discussed is IFNG; the disease is tularemia.
