Variants in IL-10 have been detected at several loci, and the three most common polymorphisms (−1082G>A, −819C>T and −592C>A) located in the promoter of IL-10 have been reported to be capable of influencing the transcription and translation of IL-10 gene, resulting in altered susceptibility and prognosis of skin cancer [20, 31, 32]. This evidence concerns the gene IL10 and skin cancer.
