We have recently described the effect of oral administration of PP-001 (biphenyl-4-yl-carbamoylthiophene-2-carboxylic acid derivative), a new inhibitor of dihydroorotate dehydrogenase (DHODH), in two different experimental autoimmune uveitis (EAU) models in Lewis rats on inflammation as well as secondary neovascularization [2]. The gene discussed is DHODH; the disease is autoimmune uveitis.
