Compound 4b only inhibited seven other kinases (Aurora A, KDR/VEGFR2, SGK1, FLT4/VEGFR3, PIM1, PKD2, and LCK), to similar extent as CK2, and turned out to be cell-permeable and capable of inducing apoptosis in the prostate cancer cell LNCaP. This evidence concerns the gene FLT4 and prostate carcinoma.
