Numerous studies that investigated the role of the -2518A/G (rs1026611) polymorphism in the MCP-1 (CCL2) gene have suggested that it is associated with cancer susceptibility, including breast cancer, cervical cancer, endometrial carcinoma, cervical cancer, and ovarian cancer, and might be a risk factor for cancer [12]. Here, CCL2 is linked to endometrial carcinoma.
