Most notably, ALK rearrangements occur in approximately 3–7% of NSCLCs [104], approximately 50% of all inflammatory myofibroblastic tumors (IMTs) [105, 106], 10% of Spitzoid neoplasms [107], as well as small percentages in colon cancer [94, 108, 109], thyroid cancer [94, 110], and several other types of malignancies [94, 102, 111].
