It has been reported that redox homeostasis is required for the survival of cisplatin-resistant ovarian cancer cells (Catanzaro et al., 2015) and recently, another study revealed that disrupting G6PD-mediated redox homeostasis enhances the chemosensitivity of oxaliplatin in colorectal cancer, which is consistent with our study in lung cancer (Ju et al., 2017). The gene discussed is G6PD; the disease is ovarian carcinoma.
