Clinical trials for the SphK2 inhibitor ABC294640, are well under way with phase I studies complete [29] and phase I/II and phase II trials examining hepatocellular carcinoma, Kaposi sarcoma as well as the haematological malignancies multiple myeloma and diffuse large B cell lymphoma ongoing (NCT02229981, NCT02939807 and NCT02757326). This evidence concerns the gene SPHK2 and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.
