Given the differential expression of miRs in inflammatory bowel disease [17,18,19,20,21,22,23,24,25,26] potentially targeting IL13RA1 [27], and the importance of IL-13 in the gut mucosa [1,10,11], we set out to investigate the expression levels of IL13RA1 in UC and the possible role of miRs in its regulation. The gene discussed is IL13RA1; the disease is inflammatory bowel disease.
