The expression of GATA-binding protein 3 (GATA-3), a transcription factor involved in the differentiation of breast, urinary organs, skin, and subsets of T lymphocytes, has been reported in urothelial and breast carcinomas, and GATA3 is highly expressed in estrogen receptor-positive breast cancer, as well as estrogen receptor-negative breast cancers, including triple-negative breast cancer [20]. This evidence concerns the gene GATA3 and breast carcinoma.
