Compared to the participants in the 1st quartile of Lp‐PLA2 mass, there was an increased risk of ACAS among participants in the 2nd quartile (OR, 1.47; 95% CI, 1.05‐2.05), 3rd quartile (OR = 1.64; 95% CI, 1.18‐2.29) and 4th quartile (OR, 1.98; 95% CI, 1.42‐2.78), after controlling for sex, age, smoking, alcohol, exercise, hypertension, hyperlipidaemia, diabetes and BMI using Lp‐PLA2 mass quartiles.
