SQSTM1 and cancer: Combined with results of hazard ratios (HRs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs), we concluded that higher expression of p62 is associated with poorer overall survival (OS) (HR: 2.22, 95% CI: 1.82–2.71, P < 0.05), disease-free survival (DFS) (HR = 2.48, 95% CI: 1.78–3.46, P < 0.05) and even certain clinicopathological parameters, such as lymph node metastasis (RR = 1.21, 95% CI: 1.06–1.37) and clinical stages (RR = 1.27, 95% CI: 1.12–1.45), in cancer patients.
