We combined the outcomes of 4271 cancer patients from 20 individual studies, suggesting that p62 high-expression significantly predicted poor OS (HR: 2.22, 95% CI: 1.82–2.71, P < 0.05) and DFS (HR: 2.48, 95% CI: 1.78–3.46, P < 0.05). The gene discussed is SQSTM1; the disease is cancer.
