Although anti-PD1/PD-L1 antibodies caused few chemotherapy-related adverse events, the immune-mediated adverse events, including inflammatory pneumonitis, interstitial nephritis, hyperthyroidism, and hypothyroidism, occurred more frequently in pulmonary, endocrine, mucocutaneous and renal sites and even immunologically privileged sites such as the eye.
