Our data not only demonstrated a positive correlation between the expression of FZD1 and the cardiac hypertrophy in both cultured-cardiomyocytes in vitro and MI animal model in vivo, but also showed that reduction of FZD1 using SiRNA resulted in a marked attenuation of hypertrophic response to hypoxia in vitro. Here, FZD1 is linked to myocardial infarction.
