Since previous studies (33, 34), including our published data (23–25, 30), have shown that azurophil granules serine proteases, including CG, P3, and NE, can be taken up by tumor cells and since we note variable and at times absent expression of CG in some ALL samples, we next examined whether CG can be taken up by ALL. The gene discussed is CTSG; the disease is acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
