After adjusting for age, eGFR, female gender, and obesity, NT-proBNP was 1.67 times higher in patients with AS than in patients with CAD (adjusted coefficient 0.223, 95% CI 0.160–0.285; p<0.0001) and 1.41 times higher in patients with MR than patients with CAD (adjusted coefficient 0.150, 95% CI 0.085–0.215, p<0.0001; Table 4). Here, NPPB is linked to obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
