These results demonstrated that lapatinib or erlotinib inhibits NRF2 activity to repress HER1/EGFR, and also, bexarotene, an NRF2 inhibitor, can further repress EGFR signalling pathway to further sensitize and enhance the killing effects of lapatinib and/or erlotinib against OVCAR3 and SKOV3 ovarian cancer cells (Figures 9(c)). This evidence concerns the gene NFE2L2 and ovarian carcinoma.
