Interestingly, we observed a decreased CRC risk when the CC genotype of PD-L1 rs2890657 interacted with at least one minor allele of NLRC5 rs12445252, which is related with lower NLRC5 expression and an increased CRC risk was shown by the interactions between the CC genotypes of both PD-L1 rs822338 and NLRC5 rs289726 and between the TT genotype of PD-L1 rs822338 and the genotypes with at least one minor allele T of NLRC5 rs289726 (S5 Table). This evidence concerns the gene NLRC5 and colorectal carcinoma.
