We identify differences between an original and evolutionary-derived MG isolate in their capacity to trigger expression of key inflammatory cytokine genes (IL1B, IL6, IL10, IL18, TGFB2, CXCLi2, and TNFSF15) leading to signaling that may be crucial for the development of MG-induced immunopathology. The gene discussed is IL6; the disease is myasthenia gravis.
