INS and acute coronary syndrome: The progressive increase in the risk ratio for late revascularization across diabetes presence and treatment status was not attenuated significantly in the overall cohort, after additional adjustment for the index revascularization status or presentation with acute coronary syndrome (Table 2); compared to non-diabetics, non-insulin treated diabetics had an adjusted HR of 1.35 (95% CI 1.23–1.49), p < 0.0001 and insulin treated diabetics had an adjusted HR of 2.20 (95% CI 1.91–2.54), p < 0.001.
