The discovery of the MAPK-organizer 1 (MORG1), a molecular scaffold for multiple proteins of the MAPK cascade [11] and a binding partner of the HIF-prolyl hydroxylase domain containing protein 3 (PHD3) [11] opens a new opportunity to study the role of pre-elevated HIFs level and its function in AKI due to sepsis and inflammation. This evidence concerns the gene WDR83 and acute kidney injury.
