EZH2 and cancer: MiR-137 was also hyper-methylated in nine different tumor types, which is consistent with the fact that this microRNA controls many cellular processes deregulated in cancer, such as cell cycle progression by targeting CDK6 [97], tumor glutamine metabolism by targeting solute carrier family 1 (neutral amino acid transporter), member 5 (ASCT2) [98], and chromosome remodeling by targeting the enhancer of zeste 2 polycomb repressive complex 2 subunit (EZH2) [99].
