Upregulation of ITGA6 by MYC in CRC at the transcriptional level is consistent with the fact that MYC and ITGA6 have been found to be overexpressed separately in several types of cancers including breast [25,43,44] and prostate [45,46] cancers, liposarcoma [47,48] and glioblastoma [49,50]. This evidence concerns the gene MYC and colorectal carcinoma.
