CPT2 and migraine disorder: The current study showed 3 elevated odd-numbered (acylcarnitine 15:3, 21:4, 11:1) and 6 decreased even-numbered forms (14:3, 10:1, 24:0, 10:0, 26:0, 20:0) of medium- to very long-chain acylcarnitines (C10-C26) are found in migraine patients as compared to controls, indicating CPT1 activity for even-numbered acylcarnitine and CPT2 activity for odd-numbered acylcarnitine may be insufficient in these migraine patients.
