RICTOR and cancer: Zhang et al46 found that miR‐424 could decrease the sensitivity of cancer cells such as HCT116 and A375 to doxorubicin and etoposide, and inhibition of miR‐424 could enhance apoptosis and increase the sensitivity of cancer cells to doxorubicin; while Oneyama et al47 confirmed that down‐regulation of miR‐424/503 was associated with Rictor up‐regulation in colon cancer tissues, resulting in promotion of tumour growth and invasion.
