Interestingly, the level of PDGFRα, an important receptor tyrosine kinase involved in the development and progression of ovarian cancer [2, 27–30], was correlated with the sensitivity to DHA-induced cytotoxicity, while there was no correlation for other receptors including PDGFRβ, VEGFRs, EGFR,TLRs, ERα, AR, integrins, PGRMC1 (Figure 1a and Supplementary Figure S1). The gene discussed is PDGFRB; the disease is ovarian cancer.
